      Looks dee-lish... were they crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside?--- I've tried this, but could never get them that way...

      Always nice to check in with you... haven't really talked since you and your husband went to Italy... I trust you had fun and managed to find some decent food?

      Yep, the fries were a great combination of crispy and fluffy. I've always had such bad luck with these things that my husband grabbed the car keys to make a run to McDonald's for some backup fries, but these didn't burn or stick. I think the key is not to skimp on the oil -- even using two full tablespoons isn't nearly as unhealthy as deep frying them.

      Italy. Wow. Yeah, we had a wonderful time and haven't even been able to look at our substandard prosciutto, salami, etc., much less think of eating some now that we're home. I look forward to getting to see other parts of the country on our next visit ... someday ...
