      @iceburns: yes, I took these photos on burst mode then stitched them together in photoshop. The clear blue sky made life easier :)

      great idea, must try it sometime, well done.

      sorry to disagree with "edgardiazrocks" comment but you can't blame the Royal Navy for the clipped wings. The clipped wing was to increase the roll rate against the FW190 one of which had been captured when it landed in England by mistake.

      Yep, My bad.

      I had incorrectly thought that this was an early model Seafire Mk III, but upon furter research its a Spitfire LF (Mark IVb with the three bladed prop?)

      But as shown in this picture, some Seafires had clipped wings also.
