Bearkeh TUTORIAL ♥♥
TUTORIAL ♥♥
A lot of people asked me how special shaped bokehs are done. I decided
to put together a tutorial and explain things in details.
This is a single shot out of the camera! Nothing was added in Photoshop.
Special thanks to Tony who helped me with the picture formatting!

1. Get your tools ready. A piece of paper *preferably black, pen and cutting tools.
2. Making the filter. You can make a small filter and fit it right onto your lens like I do, or you can also make a larger “lens hood” that wraps around. Whichever way you prefer.
3. Draw your desired shape right in the middle of the circle. It has to be small. Mine is about half an inch in diameter.
4. Cut out the shape. You’re ready to shoot.
5. Bearkeh!
6. You can also do other shapes
7. And get these :D

This is so cool! I really wish I could do it but I don't have a DSLR so I don't think it would work on my camera =[

Interesting, I will have to play with this ones, till now I just had boring pictures just how I took them, din't play around in Photoshop with them besides doing the RAW to JPG.
Curious how far you could go with this selfmade bokeh filters. Thanks for the inspiration.

These are great! Thanks for the tutorial! How did you manage to get the bear in focus though? Is it two different photos put together in photoshop?

I'm sooooo glad you guys found my tutorial helpful! I wish there were more of those on Flickr because a lot of times I need some guidance as well.
Love.
Tara, that is an awesome image! Great job :)
No photoshop was used for this photo. It came out of the camera like this. I focused on the bear, and the background lights of course became blurry.
Cute bear you have, thanks for sharing.
