Thanks all! - Regarding stand development. It's still all a bit experimental, I have some outdated 120 Neopan 400 rollfilm which I have been stand developing in Kodak HC 110. - Method is, Load tank and pre-soak film in water to temperature (20C) agitate a bit if you like to remove anti-halation backing, soak for about 5 mins. while this is in progress mix dev. I measure 500ml water to temperature 20C then add 4.2 ml HC110 'gloop' from a syringe, (dilution 1:119) then mix really well sloshing solution from one container to another to make sure it is fully in solution, then pour off pre-soak, the water will be purple, in with the dev, agitate by inversion 5-10 sec to get things started and thump the tank to get rid of bubbles stand the tank level then go and watch telly for an hour. Stop fix and wash as usual.

So far I have rated Neopan normally at 400 and results have been fine, producing negatives that scan well, I would add that the dev must be fully mixed and in solution otherwise you might get uneven development. My advice is, like me, just experiment and see what you get. Good luck!

PS. I like the idea of stand development but I am not sure that HC110 is the perfect dev. I get good results from using Diafine, and I can rate Neopan at ISO 640 and get similar results with slightly better grain.

I am so envious of the tones you achieve.

      And I'm a sucker for a path :-)

Nice composition and great image quality from the Isolette. Interesting to see that you are achieving a similar look with digital capture
      Looking back.

Thanks again all for your nice comments and, Andy I walk this lane 2 or 3 times a week and always carry a camera, I could do a book on this lane on it's own with the pictures I have accrued over the years.

Gorgeous b&w tones, and a wonderful mood. I imagine a book on this lane would be beautiful!

Thanks for the info on stand development. I'm just starting to try it out too - I was thinking of getting some HC110, since I've been using Rodinal and apparently it isn't so good for Tri-X, which I also use a lot of.

Extraordinary light and framing, but also extraordinary that a place like this still exists. I almost expect to see Thomas Hardy walking up the road. (I realize you're in different part of the country. But still.) Excellent work.

      Excellent Picture. Really wonderful!

I love stand development. Mainly with Rodinal at 1:100 for an hour or 1:200 for two hours. HC-110 is great at 1:120. I went mad once and did a stand develop with Dilute Perceptol, had fantastic results but not as neat or economical as Rodinal or HC-110. I rarely do a 'standard' development now.

I quite often run up here, but with my back to this view. Time to go the other way around I think :)
