      GREAT design work!
      question though...I have always wondered..
I have worked in polymer clay and know of it's toxicity, etc. When cladding a teapot, what about the spout?...obviously (I would think) the water would come in contact with the outside of the spout (at least from my experience) during pouring. Especially if the tea is hot would this not transfer the chemicals from the clay to the tea? I Know from reading, that polymer clay should never come in contact with food (ie-plates). OR are these tea pots for decoration only?

I feel the chances of chemical transfer is quite minimal if any since the water is not sitting in the polymer clay. For more information about the safety of polymer clay, Glassattic has accumulated some great information on the subject: www.glassattic.com/polymer/safety_health_clea ning.htm

I think there's more chances of polymer transfer in food stored in plastic containers or heated in them in a microwave. But I know most of my teapots are looked upon as art objects by my buyers.
