Looks like a serious toy !
What are the main benefits of this MS detector compared to an ordinary tipple quad like API 3000 or API 4000 ?
What do you use it for ?
Cheers !

Hey Paul (58 months ago | reply)
The QTRAP is a hybrid triple quadrupole - linear ion trap. So compared to the ordinary triple quads, the ion trap opens up many different applications (structural elucidation, high resolution MS/MS, etc). I use it mostly for highly sensitive quantitative lipidomics.

"Hey Paul", how has it been running? have encountered any problems? I use mine for small molecule quant analysis, mostly drugs in DW.

Cool! Thanks!I use a Varian 1200L triple quad. For drug metabolite ID and quantification. Had some problems though.
