Fanned Pages on a Handmade Book

Fanned Pages on a Handmade Book

Mmmmm, love those little mitered corners!

This is a charming little pocket sized coptic stitch book, hand bound using a french stitch and coptic stitch combo. I did notice that this type of binding is slightly floppy with only four holes, you might want to try it with six.

I used my current FAVORITE yuzen paper, this lovely waves one. You can't quite tell in a photo, but the lines on the waves are shimmery gold.

It's filled with 32lb writing paper with a laid finish.

Check out my blog post if you'd like to see the whole thing + instructions - *NOTE* the instructions are mainly for how to set the elastic, NOT for how to sew a coptic stitch book.

Also, PS does anyone else have Pinterest? I JUST got an account and I love it. Here I am on Pinterest!
