Campsite
This started as an experiment in making interesting rock strata using different brick orientations and trying to mesh them together smoothly. There are at least eight different lateral stud orientations plus the standard studs up, but the end result does not look that much different than if there were only two or three so…meh.
The dark tan is supposed to be some sort of mud flow that has caked over while flowing back down toward the underground water source visible in the next picture.

I think the strata effect is great. Well actually I think the whlle scene is great except... why is the pilot sleeping with his head near a brook that obviously overflows? That's a recipe for a drenching.
The second statement is about 80% joke if it's not immediately obvious. 20% sad pedant.
