It just made the MOC so much sweeter. - Tim Ltd - Super hot - <(Chris B)>
- Nice usage of these, I will have to remember that. - <(Chris B)>
- This little splash of color here adds so much to this build. - Catsy [CC]
- I don't know why, but I think a trans-red might be better here (although that's probably just personal preference). - DarthNick

ARGENT Class APC
The fourth of five Dawn Forge builds from the “Zero Hour on Highway 44” collaborative project. I will be posting the final one in the next few days.
I know, I'm sick of them too, but we're almost done.
Influenced by Carter Baldwin’s sweet APCs.
More pics on Brickshelf or MOCpages.

Is there a driver that can see out the front?
mondayn00dle (38 months ago | reply)
Nope, no windscreens or viewports...this is drive by wire. See the little sensor thingy up on top?
C'mon Mems...it's the FUTURE!!!

I love the Dawn Forge style, especially when applied to wheeled vehicles. Why, if it didn't have that gun, I wouldn't know which way was forward :)

Tired of them? Are you kidding me? Keep 'em coming.

Why must you continue to torture me? :)
Man you are ever the showman. The suspense has been killing me, but I know it's worth the wait! This is pretty awesome, too.

Wow, you aren't a stud hater after all.

Thanks for the shoutout! There's a lot to love about this one; great reserved use of color, and such a slick feel to the entire thing. Definitely digging that offset turret, and I keep finding new, subtle details every time I look through these shots.

Castle parts in a futuristic vehicle?!
The straight lines and geometrical shapes turn this into something aggressive looking.

Such a clean build, I get a bit of a Half-Life 2 vibe from this.

I will admit, after seeing Zero Hour, this vehicle was the one I most wanted to see more of. It fails completely to disappoint me. I didn't know that blocky angles could be so beautiful.

Whooha! Very sleek and fearsome!
The dark grey with the few light grey lines and the tidbit of dark green are awfully nice. The trans-green 'eye' is also a nice detail, even it looks direct to the raised part with the '60' written on it ;-)
Even I hate these castle tower elements you found a very good use for them. And the gun also equals in style and sleekness. Decent and refine sticker work, alongside many nice details which break the sleekness on a very tangible level!
Well done!

See the little sensor thingy up on top?
Yep. If you look closely, you can see words printed on it that say, "shoot me".
:)

Can we get a profile of this?

I think it could use two more studs on the rear fender too. (mind you this is one of those "after the build" suggestions I don't actually expect you to change anything) Sweet man.

Regarding "everyone aiming for the sensor", you could argue the same about a viewport. I think the sensor makes more sense than a viewport - it's a smaller target, and it improves the structural integrity of the vehicle as you don't have to plug as big a big gap in the armour.

Absolutely top notch. angularly sharp and aggressive. brilliant use of the bleys to accent the shape.
