Oasis

Although Hamilton, Canada's ninth largest city, is known for heavy industry and the associated environmental problems, there are areas of amazing beauty. This is one of them

What an inspired picture this is! A great shot! I ought to make plans to check out some of those falls. I only live about 3 hours away from Hamilton.

That's the paradise, for a while, or so. The colours are outstanding, the site, in the shadow of the cliffs, looks wild and great, not yet tamed by civiization. A lurking place for the Hamiltonian Robienson Crusoe ?

@Cyrille - yes it is still beautiful, although tarnished - kids have painted grafitti on some of the rocks, and the water is not very clean

This is indeed beautiful as seen through your camera lens. It looks very serene and peaceful.

great exposure on your falls here. I tend to allow for too long an exposure and my falls disappear. so pristine looks like it could be from Yoho.

      I don't think I've seen these falls!

      Did you use a filter?

Indeed there is much beauty in the area!

    20. kazOOtus (43 months ago | reply)

Incredible beauty. Looks like some South Sea Isle.

    21. Thankful! (43 months ago | reply)

@Eglantine - I didn't know they existed either, but I saw some photos on Flickr. Re: filter - probably polarizing. It was early morning and quite dark, and I tend to underexpose, so I had to brighten this up a bit.
