Walt Whitman Birthplace - Castro Convertibles
Bernadette Castro is a New York legend. Her parents came from Cuba and founded a factory making covertible sofa beds. Little Bernadette appeared in the early TV commercials showing how easy it was to open the convertible. For a long time they had a huge billboard at the north end of Times Square. Bernadette later became politically active.
