Kookaburra

    One of Australia's iconic birds perched itself amongst the branches of a tree in my backyard and wanting to test the abilities of my new 550D with it's 55-250mm kit lense, I whipped it out and took a few short snaps.

      I was trying to think of what part of the camera you'd been wiping out for a while there (you don't want to damage the sensor or anything). I assume you meant ‘whipped’?
