This is a 5 x 7 mixed media collage using faces and bodies from flickr's bobster855, all hand trimmed with scissors and hand colored. The boots are scanned and altered from a magazine picture. The hats are from keeperofthenest.etsy.com and the wings are from Itkupilli.etsy.com. These pieces were hand trimmed with scissors and slightly colored by hand. The floor is from designer Lauren Bavin of DigitalScrapbookPlace.com - all used with a commerical license. The floor was added digitally and the stars trimmed by hand and glued. The border just above the floor is from designer Sande Krieger of Two Peas in Bucket, used with a commercial license and hand trimmed and washed with color and glued. The main background was created using a texture from flickr's JoesSistah along with a face I created (altered digitally, handcolored, and rescanned and layered digitally) from a picture from the Library of Congress. The word Dream is from Crowabout.etsy.com and the striped borders were made from scrap paper and hand colored.

Well, Kathy, I have had work stolen and reused twice without my permission (so I guess a couple of people like my work despite your wildest imagination) and that is why I put up the notice as recommended by the experts in order to protect my work should I ever want to take further action. I don't have much of an ego and if you knew me at all you would know that.
I don't mind that you don't like my work at all - to each his/her own - that's what makes the world interesting. And, of course, you have lots of other flickr pix to enjoy if you'd rather not look at mine. Go leave someone whose work you enjoy a nice comment - that's what flickr is all about.

Marsha this is wonderful. I love Cassandras comments about the nice socks too.
I've always been partial to green so one of the guys on the left for me please. This is an awesome piece. Your hand coloring is amazing and once again the way you put all the images from so many different sources together blows me away. Thank you for sharing.

Marsha - anyone who knows you....KNOWS YOU...knows there is not a more humble and generous artist on the planet. If anything, your ego needs some inflating - so I am sending over a bicycle pump! :) Unfortunately, there are people who use images without permission, and it's your right to protect what you have created.

Ahhhh, thanks you guys! I went to Taco Tuesday (some of you know about that) and while there about 8 of us tried to figure out why in the world it is more fun for some people to be negative rather than positive. It always amazes me when people go out of their way to hurt someone else's feelings. Talk about egos. It takes a pretty good sized ego to leave such negative vibes. Most of you go out of your way to make someone feel good and that leaves a much bigger, deeper, and more meaningful impression and does the world good. And, you've got good karma too.
I am more upset that my husband doesn't like pickles in his tuna salad than I am about someone not liking my work. (cuz I have to make two separate batches and he is someone I do care to please) I am fascinated by what motivates some people or I wouldn't still be writing about this, so . . . . Let's move on . . .

I pour a wee bit of pickle juice in my tuna too. I've heard of relish in tuna but it's too small for me. I like crunchy chunks of pickle in mine.

No, I always make mine with chopped dill pickles though (Obviously I have never made this for nayski apparently) - but I like it kinda dry (just like my cottage cheese). I only put enough of that white stuff that always sparks controversy to real cooks in it to make it stick together.

I agree with Zibelline, I like it a bit dry too. I use sweet pickles and celery in mine. I also add a touch of celery seed and lemon juice. I'm lucky my hubby likes it.

I seriously doubt it was a compliment. I was first thinking latin but my 8th grade latin escapes me. Maybe french for flying tuna salad? Some have been throwing food here lately.
