you can't just post this pic and not tell the story. what happened? is this normal volcanic activity for this particular mountian? did you just happen to be flying by? do tell.

We all left at about midnight and started hiking another Volcano called Santa Maria. We found our way by moonlight and made it to the 3700m summit in time for the sunrise. Just before we left, this other Volcano erupted. Apparently, it erupts all the time. A regular overacheiver as far as volcanoes go. But I think we had at least 1500m on Santiaguito to get this view.
