Imperial Marching lions

    I waxed the background and dyed the lions yellow with the inner bark of a black oak. Then, I waxed everything but the manes and tail. I dyed with Madder but the orange was very visible. Therefore, I made a concentrated dye from Walnut hulls and painted it in. Due to the fact that I used Linen; the color isn't as strong.
