Exakta Varex IIb - Waist Level Finder
Got a waist level finder for the Varex from www.rockycameras.com/ for £5, think it suits the camera better than the prism.

The Varex IIb is still a sentimental favorite of mine - applying a modish look to what was an essentially 1930's design. Kind of fantastic when you consider that its contemporaries included the Pentax Spotmatic and Topcon Super D. Exaktas are the just the epitome of cold-war GDR cool.

It's one of my favourite designs, has a classy look to it.
I have tried to use it and find it very irritating to use, the shutter release on the wrong side, the annoying film advance lever, and while the shape gives it a pleasing look it's very unergonomic to modern hands and just feels awkward to handle. This is a shelf queen for me, when i finally get some shelves that is.

I just ordered a load more stuff last night; 2 miranda flashes, olympus mju, olympus xa2 with a11 flash, kodak brownie hawkeye flash, 49mm red filter for B&W film and pentax me super auto-winder, all for £45 + £10 shipping (fair enough as it's a lot of items), no way in hell i could get all that on ebay for the same price from the same place.
My first order went fine. I read the limited descriptions, which basically says if the camera is working or not, if it has a clean lens or not, the picture is good enough i can judge the condition of the camera from it, the Zorki 4 i got was better condition than it's image portrayed. The hawkeye brownie i ordered looks like it's scuffed and a bit dirty so i know what to expect on that front.
It's no worse than eBay to be honest, i went in with low expectations, the price was cheap enough that i wasn't expecting any spectacular. I will say the clockwork self timer i got broke after 4 tests (£5), but to a examiner doing it quickly would appear to work, and after pulling it apart the timer was so badly designed it's no wonder it fell apart, so i'd avoid buying items like that. The optically perfect description on items is slightly misleading in as much it only means the camera doesn't have any noticeable scratches or fungus, it will probably have the usual surface scratches and dust that you'd only notice when shining a light on it to examine, anything with mint glass will be described as such. Read the help page for more info (the grading bit), you can also phone or email the guy with further questions if you are unsure, he emailed me back within a few hours.
Overall if there's some stuff you want then order some cheaper items and see if you like the service, i'd say the shipping was a little expensive though reasonable, but the price of items and not having to deal with ebay (he accepts paypal which i like though) auctions easily outweighs that for me. I'd recommend.
