My reasons for being here

As I approach my third SL rez day and my 200th Flickr pic, I wanted to do something special, but what to do? It took about 5 seconds to come up with this.

I have been blessed beyond belief to meet and share my SL and Flickr lives with some of the brightest lights from any world. To a person, you have made me laugh, made me think and learn and shown me every day how to make the most of me and my opportunities. My heart swells when I think of each of you and how much you have brought to my life.

I know it's not popular to be thought a sheep, but to someone who has never felt like they truly belong anywhere, I would follow and do almost anything for every one of you. You are my friends, you are my guides, you are my family. I'm so thankful for the force that put you in the path of my life. Thank you for your acceptance, encouragement and most of all for being you. I love you all <333

    This is so beautiful of you to do..and I know exactly what you speak of here, Kam. It's not being a sheep, it's simply being grateful for some incredible friends. Some people I've met in my SL (a few of my lights are up there too:), are truly genuine, inspiring, uplifting - priceless to me. Metaversal or not. It's real. Tis truly magical.

    awww, Kamalin, this is so beautiful and touching. It really is about the connections we make, regardless of the world those connections are made in. I know I for one am honoured to think of you as friend, and I am very grateful that you have shared so much of yourself. Here's to new opportunities in the days ahead - opportunities for fun and frolic, magic and mayhem, dancing and dallying, but most of all here's to deepening the connections already made and making new connections as well!     Kamalin, I take great pleasure in writing to you on my birthday, because finding this post is like a birthday gift to me. One of the sweetest birthday gifts one could possibly give to another: An acknowledgement of their love and friendship.

    In a few months we will have been friends for three years. That's a long time in such a finicky, fluctuating pixel world where people come and go, and love and friendship change as often as we change shoes.

    And I've treasured every moment of those three years. We've had some seriously intimate and weighty discussions where I've walked away knowing something new, understanding an issue better, feeling lighter and more enlightened. You have brightened my Second Life as well as my Real Life when lingering thoughts leech over from one world to the next.

    So, if we are sheep because we'd follow those people who mean the world to us, people who have worked hard to earn our trust, our care and love, our friendship... then we are the prettiest, fluffiest, whitest storybook sheep in the metaverse. And I say, "Baaaaaaa!!!"

    Thank you, my friend, for including me in your world, and offering me a solid gold friendship. I'll never forget you, no matter where I am, in either world.

    I love you, too, Kami.

    Well a few things.. one.. I'm just flattered as hell to be in this group. It's a privilege calling you friend. It's been such fun getting to know you and work with you over the years.

    What I find so interesting is how many of us here have rezz days in the same month.. and in rl too. Speaking of which.. Happy Birthday Mecca!!

    Now.. I do hope we continue on this friendly path and think we should all have a party soon.

    I adore you Miss Bailey, on so many levels . I'm always in awe of the grace in which you hold yourself, of your -genuine- generosity of spirit. Of your inherent beauty which radiates and has nothing to do with how smexy you put an Avatar together. Your playfulness and your self confidence. AND that on occasion you actually out brat me.
