Carrots

    Root vegetable. I like them. When I was a kid if you ate them it made your eyesight good. I wear specs nowadays, despite eating carrots.

      That story!! Chrildren of my aunt as old as we, had orange handbalms and so on, because of eating it so much..

      I have heard another story Grijmeisje that carrots were originally purple and that the orange carrot was bred by farmers in the Nederlands to honour the house of Orange. Imagine the other way if oranges were made to be purple to honour the House of Purple. Then we would not have oranges but purples in our fruit bowl.

      If that's truth, but I like orange ! even so much that everyone arround me knows that!
      But farmers daughter and my sister has been veredelaar/breeder from rapeseed, bizzy going strong with God knows what!
