Jeremy's Desk

The surface is stain grade oak ply (2 sheets total) reinforced on the underside by inexpensive pine boards around the perimeter. The desk is trimmed in oak staircase molding and sits on 8 Ikea desk legs and 1 Ikea shelving unit at the center. Total cost for this project was < $500 and accommodates both my wife's and my workstations.

The whole thing can be broken down in about 10 minutes with only a power drill. The sections are held together with a few screws and metal bonding strips and the legs simply unscrew.

Tools required for this project were minimal: Hammer, Drill, Measuring Tape, Square, and Miter Saw for the trim. I had the oak sheets cut to size where bought them.

This is fantastic! Exactly what I need to redo my office. Can you tell me what the dimensions are on your desk? I have a room that is about 10 ft wide and am wondering if I have enough room for the center table. I appreciate your help and really appreciate you taking the time to post all this information and pictures.
