Just fiddling around with some foam and ribbon with my DD. I made these.

Obviously there's a way to go with the finish - but the idea worked.

A quick run-down of how we did it:

    1. We traced around the doll's feet, then kind of made a 'shoe shaping' from that.
    2. We cut out 2 pieces of thin foam for each foot and made a slit in the top piece of foam.
    3. We slid the ribbon through and glued it onto the back on one side.
    4. We then tried the flip flop on the doll and adjusted the length of ribbon. We glued down the other side of the ribbon.
    5. Then we glued on the other piece of foam.
    6. We trimmed the edge of the foam before we glued on the braid around the edge of the shoe.
    7. The flowers were glued onto the top of the ribbon and the rhinestone was self-adhesive.

These are adorable! Thank you for sharing how you made these. I might have to try my hand at a pair! :)

It's very easy. My 7YO made the other ones (with a tiny bit of assistance) and I think she did a better job than I did. Obviously, the more you make, the better you'll get. These are my first pair where I was still working out what to do.
