Arrhythmias can be caused by many different factors, including: coronary artery disease, electrolyte imbalance in the blood, such as sodium or potassium, changes in your heart, the wounds of a heart attack, the process of recovery after cardiac surgery. irregular heart beats may also occur in "normal and healthy" hearts.
