Supposedly stays in whatever position it is placed when the stalk is bent. Square stem and opposite leaves.

Photo taken in the fading light of dusk.
4 or 5 inches tall. Growing within a few feet of lake it was also seen well away from the lake near the top of a wooded slope. Eurasian alien.
