Nearly Christmas time and the cherries are ripe. We have a cherry farm just down the road from us, between Echunga and Meadows; the cherries are delicious. I like this shot, it really makes the red stand out, crossed stems are good too.

I love this capture and of course I love cherries. On a holiday in France when I was fifteen there was a cherry tree in the garden and our kind hosts told us to eat as many as we liked. A cherry-eating contest occurred and I was the first to reach 100 cherries consumed (piggy I know) . Then my friend found a maggot wriggling on one of his that he was just about to pop in his mouth. Of course being young we hadn't washed them first. Immediate loss of appetite ensued! :0)
