Relaxing after an afternoon filled with errands...

Buying a few important art supplies. (I needed linseed oil!) Love art supply shopping-of course.

All those brushes and oil paints made me hungry so I went to grab a quick bite at the Tilted Kilt! Ha! I really do enjoy that silly place. It is entertaining to watch men look at those amazing (WOW-Young!!!) girls! Hahaa! One guy almost tripped into a chair... So charming and funny. Oh these girls-so many of them do not fully realize their power! IF I KNEW THEN...WHAT I KNOW NOW...hahaaa.

And...they have really good Fish Taco's on the menu too. (Ha! No comment!)

So it was a good simple Saturday.

So I have been keeping busy...painting.
I stumbled upon a really dumb camera app on the iPhone the other night and was playing around with it when I couldn't sleep. When morning came I took it and started taking photos of my cats...

Well, I discovered that I love making my cats look like little aliens!
Like a bolt of lighting-I swear-I was inspired to turn these dumb photos into paintings.

I got down to work yesterday.

Who cares if anyone likes these dumb paintings, would buy them, or even would want to look at them-for it doesn't matter in the least, because I absolutely LOVE all of this. The process, the smell of the oil, the time I have spent, everything...

Everything that matters in the act of making a living as an artist-does not apply for these. I feel so happy doing these. HA! Strange huh?

Logically though, I probably will find a way to turn these into something-like a series of prints...

Because I hate to be a total downer I thought I would share these two photos of my Mom. I posted them a few years ago but they are worth it...because you can see how this kooky-woman produced Me!
