Seagulls - they are terrifyingly massive now. Where I live, in Devon, you have to be so aware of them as they will attack you for your food. Very Hitchcockian!

Great shot. I like how the dad is kindof leaning forward, and his daughter backward - great dynamics.

This made me laugh! And it's so masterfully composed aswell. The perfect placement and geometry of the components in the scene are just fantastic.

the kind of classic street moment that only comes around every few years, even for those who pound the street every day. great stuff.

What a catch! Eerie and comical! I agree with the comment about the size of seagulls these days, it could be due to all those poultry and bovine growth hormones that we are putting in the environment. The size of this bird is intimidating, it makes the observer think about the two human subjects and the pace they are keeping...it makes me think: "That's right, hurry you guys!"

Ah man, Tommy, I love this photo. This really needs to be used by the Scottish Tourist Board to make sure everybody just stays in Edinburgh ;-)

classic glasgow street shot! i saw a seagull try to eat a live pigeon once - it was injured and the big bastard just swallowed it! seems to be a fairly regular occurrence.. but at least there is something keeping the pigeon population under control.. in italy they sell tourists feed laced with contraceptives, here we get big seagulls to munch them. one question.. whats eating the seagulls? other than my bonnet..
