I was crossing the street and was amuzed by the red coat of the woman next to this building. I knew it was an opportunity waiting. By the time I got myself ready and took the snap it was too late I thought. When I had the film developed it was a nice suprise to still see her there, but I kind of missed what I had seen. Still works somewhat I think. This image was cropped.

I really like the black level in this photo, emphasizing the wrought iron and the deep shadows. It feels like a Sunday after church, and these ladies were the first ones out of the service.

This is what I love about shooting film. It's always a bit of a surprise and excitment waiting to see if you get the shot.
      Digital is like fast food.
I wasn't sure, but was this a scan?
The color and light give it a gritty feel that I like.

photogopher >> The image was developed at a 1hr lab, but recently I had the negatives scanned at a Photolab. Were my images have *• Taken with a NORITSU KOKI QSS-32_33.* would mean that it was a scanned negative. Thought about investing in a scanner, but I seldom shoot film these days.

The gritty feel is from adjusting and balancing the colors slightly on PS.

All >> please feel free to offer suggestions on techniques that can be explored with any of my images. I am here to absorb as much feedback as possible. All comments are very much appreciated. Thank you all!!!

The colors are very subtle, but they add much interest to the shot. And the architecture is lovely.

I was in Spain in january 2002. Madrid and the hospital in Salamanca. I fared a bit better in Portugal, enjoying Lisbon and only beginning to succumb in lovely Coimbra.

I love the angle of the buildings in this shot. The colors are also working nicely in the photo's favor. And the woman in the red coat - she surprisingly adds balance to the reds in the building facade. Nicely done!
