Dramatic Caylin is Dramatic.

So...10 things about me, eh? Okay. Can do.

    1. I cannot stand chick flicks. I can't do it. I just can't take watching people act stupid.

    2. I used to live on a boat. Truly. Not anymore.

    3. I've fired weapons, including a Walters PPK. I've fired a Bond Gun. Bwahahahahah. First gun I shot left bruises in my shoulder from the kick.

    4. I graduated college at 20. I still haven't "used" my degree. I was the first person on my mom's side to complete a college degree.

    5. I've traveled a lot in my 24 years. I started with driving to Kansas City at 16, and since then have covered a fair bit of the Western half of the US. Beyond that, there's Chicago, Newark, and Orlando. Australia at 17, Italy at 21. It's quicker for me to get to Canada then it is for me to get to another state.

    6. I really, really enjoy Egyptian history. Have since I was a kid.

    7. I'm the youngest kid in my branch of the family tree by 20 years, at least, and the only grand-daughter.

    8. I'm a professional "victim" for the American Red Cross. I went six years without an actual injury, despite allowing people to tie me to a backboard and carry me around. Wouldn't you know it? They never dropped me...they just let me freeze. Go hypothermia!

    9. I don't drink. I never have. This, apparently, is difficult for people to believe?

    10. I saw the Beach Boys in concert when I was 15. I knew more songs then my parents did.

#4 Using degrees is for the birds!
#9 Same here, and nobody believes me either.

Awesome, I love the fact you can't stand "chick flicks." You know this "tag" thing is kind of fun :)

I used to think marina living was glamorous (too much Miami Vice) until I moved to Marina del Rey and realized it was more like a floating trailer park.

@Nathan: I doubt I'll ever truly "use" my degree unless I go into teaching, but still. :-D

@Mark: I think the only exception I have is Ever After. Dunno why. Beyond that, something better explode violently and with lots of fire and debris.

@Tom: Yeah. Not so glamorous. The one we're at now isn't too bad, but it's not a "marina" per se. It's definitely not yacht moorage. Don't want to do that again.

#9 is the same for me too. Oh wait, I'm 16... =)

      You are awesome, Caylin!

      Bonus fact:

I own five tiaras. I have worn all of them, and do so regularly.

    8. Heather LEGOgirl [deleted] (30 months ago | reply)

^I only own one tiara and my mom is now in posession of it so I never get to take it for a spin. And as far as chick flicks go, you are so right on about them. I keep watching them though, hoping that they'll get one right. I've only found a handful that weren't just a complete waste of two hours. Next time you go out for a drive to Canada, swing by and pick me up. :)

      Go Canada!

Last time I went by myself, I was searched entering and leaving. Apparently a single female visiting a museum is a threat to national security.

Perhaps they were just looking for an excuse to pull a cute gal over. :)

      Interesting :)

Question: so I have to post 10 things about myself, and I really can't discern any pattern with the other tagged people I've come across so I'm guessing it's random right?

    12. SnowLeopard (30 months ago | reply)

/\ Tag. Yeah, it's random. More or less.

#1: Perhaps this isn't surprising, since I'm not a chick, but I can't stand the stupid-people-acting-stupid flicks either. I'm considered a heretic among friends for thinking There's Something About Mary is a terrible movie (especially the unwatchable last ten minutes or so).

#8: My father is a nurse and used to ride ambulance and do volunteer firefighting, and as a kid he co-opted me into the "volunteer victim" corps for their training classes.

"9. I don't drink. I never have. This, apparently, is difficult for people to believe?"

Not at all, I have 3 friends that never drank too ! I drink sometimes, but not a lot.

That's OK, last time I saw Caylin there were 3 of her ;)
