Alchemy, which is a J-36, beating to weather in a fresh breeze at Whidbey Island Race Week in 1996 with another J-36, Harwar,which has a flatter main and a blade set vs the #2 genoa on Alchemy. Harwar has more point, because the mainsail is working better, whereas the main trimmer on Alchemy is forced to stall the fuller (blown out) main slightly to keep her on her feet.
