GWR 4141 on Swithland GCR

    Great Central Railway 12th November 2006 Swithland viaduct GWR Large Priarie 4141 backlit by the evening sun.This was the evening run back from Leicester North to Loughborough.One of the best locations to watch steam on the Great Central.

      Fantastic atmosphere. Makes Bradgate Park look like a mountain!

      I'm sure they will turn one round again someday soon. What we need of course is a turntable. Or Two.

      A lot of train pics are good because they have a nice train in them but this is a beautiful photo anyway with the bonus of featuring a steam engine.
