Representatives from Pathfinder and the District Health Secretariat listen during the advocacy meeting with the local chief/traditional ruler in his palace. As women, we were allowed to sit on chairs instead of on the floor; however, we had to wait for all the men to enter the room and get settled before we could enter. We also had to wait for them to leave before we could go outside at the close of the meeting. You can also notice the door to the palace is just a thin curtain, and the chief's turkey was strutting around on the steps and being very noisy throughout.
