- My favorite part -- I absolutely LOVE the colors here!!! - Shaina Kristi
SpaceShip Earth at Dusk
After how pleased I was with my processing effort on yesterday's shot, I decided to go with another dusk shot for today's picture of the day. This time, EPCOT Center's SpaceShip Earth is the subject matter. I managed to take this shot, and a number of others, while Sarah waited in line to get our "free" Disney VISA 8 x 10.
Through processing my recent shots, I've realized what an important part of the learning process that editing shots plays. Each time I process a shot, I notice a few things I need to do different next time. This time I noticed that I need to make a conscious effort to keep important aspects of the composition away from the edges of the frame. I've always read this, but I figured it was more of a geeky/hardcore pixel peepers type thing. Either I've become what I loathe, or the advice applies to the casual hobbyist as well. In any case, it's something to remember for next time.
Have a great weekend, everyone!

Get it framed. Seriously, this is one of my favorite shots that I've seen from your last trip. Really well done. As for the editing comment, I can't agree more. I'm consistently finding things I wish I would have done. Oh well, more reason to go back!

Simple Basic colors. That's what I like. I think that his highlights what can be done from the "golden hour" lighting. Even lit colors that night time just doesn't show. Great shot.

Gorgeous colorful abstract compo! Even when the edges aren't quite what you envisioned, you can still salvage a nice image; sometimes you end up with the perfect abstract.
