Once the baru (that is, the species that superceded humans) got over their picayune differences, their engineering ingenuity grew almost faster than the flower-like homes they built for their beetle-like bodies. It's true the height of their magnificent structures paled beside what the humans had built millennia before, but compared to a baru's actual body size and means of energy these apartments would dazzle any builder in any world in any era. Baru brains means baru business - not in the merchandising and money-hungry sense of the human word, but in the productivity and creative sense of the baru word. And though each individual never lost touch with it's own ineluctable end, they never got hung up on it either.

(It’s important to note that the ‘oh boy’ may have been ‘oh Ben’ or maybe ‘Germain’ it was hard to tell in my half sleep at 2:43 am, but I’m quite sure about the cackle in the beginning, I counted that it was six on my fingers.)

This is a magnolia tree from VanDusen Gardens in Vancouver.

Occupy Vancouver 2011, my response:
As long as profit is priority over human welfare, and as long as there are so many of us, we will continue in this rather unforgiving direction. But what are you willing to give up?
