Dimonds in the rough?

Dimonds in the rough?

I saw this sign near the intersection of Tidwell and I-45 in Houston. I often wonder why the sign making software does not seem to have spell check?

One evening I made a trip up into the hills behind the Colorado town of Leadville. Famous for its mining, many of the structures are still intact and help to generate tourism there. Welcome to the highest town in the United States.

This shot is from a bluff overlooking the town just as the sun went down. It is a three shot HDR composite of the town, the mountains behind it, and a fire ring.

This shot is a three picture HDR composite of a large wooden mining structure with the sunset and the mountains behind it. The colors out here are simply amazing and are quite brilliant in some places from all the minerals dumped around.
