The highest there is Mt.Brewster Appx 2600+m.
Brewster hut is a three hour climb from
Fantail Falls carpark just past Haast Pass.
Experienced trampers will go on to the snout
of the Brewster glacier via Mt.Armstrong
which is just out of picture to the right.
Mt.Kaye is the next one south of Armstrong
(further right). Between Armstrong and
Mt.Kaye is a reasonable trans-alpine route
into the upper Makarora valley. Nice picture. Clearer than most of those i
have.
Thanks for the great description, I was
guessing off an ordinary map. It was a
beautiful day that day. We'd been unable to
fly into Siberia that morning because of bad
weather conditions - high winds included -
but this walk went a little way to make up
for it.
