Aweseome bro, nice to see some decent garage builds going on. I'm almost finished mine.... then, on to the next project..
I swear, sometimes it seems like it's more expensive [and addictive] than a drug habbit.... hahahaha.. but, I must say, motorcycles are my one and only drug, and always will be.
Keep the shiney side up mate =)

Definitely caught my attention too! Thanks for taking someones idea of style and reducing it to its engineering essence. I never even knew what the engine on a virago looked like until now.

looks sick. do you have a build thread anywhere? did you fab the rigid bars that replaced the shocks yourself? got alot of questions if you dont mind maybe i can email you if you have time.

can you tell me what hard tail strut you got? ive been searching for one that looks good on a virago and this looks perfect. please tell me!!!!! thanks
sgallaty (11 months ago | reply)
There is no need for a hard tail strut. This is the 82-84 virago which came with a monoshock rear end. They were ahead of their time and got a lot of aesthetic criticism from people who expected to see shocks on the side.
After 84 they had dual shocks on the sides and later models capped out at 750 cc due to legislation introduced by H-D to tariff import bikes in an attempt at protectionism.
