Lynx in captivity

"The word lynx comes from the Greek word ‘to shine’. This may refer to the reflective cells that assist cats to see at night by re-using light that has already passed through the eye chamber by reflecting it back a second time."

This guys eyes were reflecting my 20 D's little on board flash from 75 yds away.

I was under the gross misconception that these animals were somewhat bigger than domestic house cats.
This 40-something lb male oozed menace.
By any standard, a Canadian Lynx is one Bad-@$$ed feline.
