Kerrin, I have to agree, lots of people came to feel the statues, never seen something like this in this city, once we knew, we kept searching for more ;-))))

This is really wonderful...there is an area around Nasa that has statues of Pelicans in different outfits, depending on the business that they are in front of. My family was telling me that in upstate New York, where there are many dairy farms, they did the same thing with cows...I bet his picture was not blurry with him standing still for such a long time...Thanks for all the invites, comments and time you spend viewing my stuff....You are the BEST!....Thanks again. Love Pam

Haha, Pam, he was an easy target ;-) Pelicans or cows would be great too!!!!!!!!! Just not in the city ;-) I enjoyed viewing your "stuff", a big hug from Holland to Texas!!!

Dearest Irene....my goodness...I received a warm feeling, looked at your photo stream...and figured out it came from you... You are such a joy...and a blessing...so glad we have become friends...I got real lucky...finding you.

Pam, thanks, I'm so glad that I can give you joy and warm feelings, by uploading pictures of our lives and what we see on the other side of the ocean, things most of us won't be able to see, with our own two eyes. I can see beautiful spots and flowers at your side of the ocean......let's be happy, we had the luck to find eachother, bless you Pam!!

I missed this the first time around.

This artwork is wonderful and from the thumbnail I thought it was a real man.

I was drawn to the composition - I thought you had snapped someone on the street taking a snap.

As an aside, it is a good idea to be a tourist in your own area - I am going to do this, visiting some art galleries closer to home.

Often, we do not appreciate the amenities that we have on our own doorstep or we just don't know about them and we should find out what is in our immediate vicinity - it promises both fun and enlightenment.

Great thing you picked this guy....the city of Heerlen bought two of the artworks of Christel Lechner........this guy is one of them, the other one bought is the lady sitting on the roundabout!!
Since I walk around with my camera........I'm really a tourist around here ;-) Seeing things with other eyes...it is great to experience and to share!!
