I know two people who sneaked into Burning Man in 2004 or 2005 when it was supposed to be nearly impossible to do. They parked far away and came in late at night on bicycles. When they were approached by a ranger with night vision goggles - they said they were out looking for the hot springs - They were told to get back in on the other side of the fence - As a result, they may be among the few people who ever found themselves kicked into Burning Man without a ticket.

Once they were inside, they had to come up with a story so they could get out and pick up their car and camping things - and get back in again. They managed to do it - but later said the whole adventure was far more trouble than it was worth.
