Boeing C-15 "Strike Eagle" lunar starfighter

Newer Older

"In the lunar theater weight was a paramount concern. Consequently spacecraft stationed there all had a very spindly and lightweight look to them, which belied their deadly nature. The C-15 Strike Eagle was a prime example of this weight-saving approach to battle. The ships were designed to make fast, 'hit and run' attacks and to return swiftly to base to refuel. Longer loiter-time would require more fuel and add to the size and weight of the craft."
