Battle for the Moon: USMC mech bay, Mare Nectaris sector

Large repair bases like this one deep in the Nectaris Sector were a hive of activity: battle-damaged mechs returning from the front line, new designs being tested and fitted out. All was colour and movement!

The new Grumman K6, on left, was welcomed by many American mech pilots for being faster and more responsive than the older BA-32, or "ol' Big Ears", seen to the right, although most mechs were kept in service as long as physically possible.

With more parts and experience I'm in a better position now to flesh out the BFTM world than before. Hopefully more to come.

I am in love... with everything. Especially the wind up crank. I'm off to youtube to watch 80's cartoons.
I'm back, and I found what I was looking for:www.youtube.com/watch?v=Odvh2BWAOr8
I imagine the Red bots would look like these; more mechanical, but simultaneously organic, producible in large numbers.

Is this based on that ridiculously awesomely ridiculous movie Robot Jox? Because if so you are the man!

Sadly, even if not you're still the man. I'm totally crossing my fingers that Vladimir Putin's crazy plan works and the USSR comes back.

Yes Starriors are awesome. Thank God for 80's cartoons!
Heh, I vaguely remember that movie. When will there be a decent mech-based movie FFS? Just edit together some Chromehounds cut scenes, I don't care, anything!

This is greatness Shanno, I love it beyond the beyond.

Thanks for linking that! I have a saw piece (taken from a friend's house I believe) from one of those but could never figure out what it was from.

Wow, great work Shannon, this is so beautiful with a stack of juicy details. I love the cheese slopes on the bay numbering, the wind up key, the retro bubble forklift (great idea!) and, well, everything else. :) I'm not familiar with your "Battle for the Moon" stuff, but i'm going to rectify that right now!
