• This border between the red and orange is really annoying as it lines up with angles on the letters :(
  • Maybe set the slope1 plate higher, then there would be a two stud wide gap, which would be even more characteristic for an a :-) - Cole Blaq

Liar Skyline

Got half way through the first bit (the bley negative letters) and realised I was subconciously copying Cole's Liquidation piece. Here's hoping this one is different enough to stand on it's own?

Also, the skyline was going to be only one brick wide so I kept the black shapes simple. I changed the sky to another wall behind the black to add depth and to add detail to the cityscape but forgot the latter.

Also, the letters should really have a border around them...

Also, it looks damn cool to me

Also, you could have some jagged dk red coming down from the top edge like that black at bottom - counter balancing it and breaking up that red edge your unhappy with.

    Also, also : )

I love this. It just gives me a unique feel that I've never had before with other graffitti mocs so far.

I think you're being a bit critical of yourself. This is great, and really has a unique feel.

Looks really, REALLY cool, man! I don't mind the positioning of the red stripe, but you could always use plates to offset the sunset's stripes.

    Yay for negative lettering :-)))

Nice, nice. Reminds me of the technique of liquidation. If you want to off-set the backdrop more, why not build horizontal instead of vertical. Then you could avoid the equal lines of fading and curves of the letters, also you could easilier make windows into the skyscrapers;-)
I am not a fan of the few studs, tiles would be much nicer.

Oh man, your sudden outburst of graf makes me feel guilty actually not building any styles... But the contest soon will be up and after that we'll do the challenges with motorcycle, le parcours and black'n'white and whatever. Tomorow everything will be different ;-P

What's really cool to me is how you achieved all the excellent letter shapes with basically no SNOT - a fairly straightforward build with fantastic results, something to be admired. :-)

A border would have been too complicated and not necessary IMO, it's perfect like that !
