^Yeah, I can't remember why I went for black
lettering, maybe I wanted them to blend into
the bley shadows and recesses, as a way of
"dissolving" the letters somewhat?
I will do another version with britghter
colours for sure.
Very original and legoesque. A development from the red one, which I also
liked but this has more your own touch. I
like the studdy texture, and that you took
two shots from two angles, else wise it is
difficult to present the 3D in a
comprehensible manner. The different building
directions add even more to the 3D character.
I think in reality the black and light grey
are good distinguishable by the eye, but
photographs fuzz up with many shadings. So I
would also agree with the above said, that a
lettering in a more contrasted way (like
coloured) would help narrow illegibility. But
in an artistic sense the colours are good as
they are. (If I would have done this so far I would
probably add a dark red dot of colour half
covered somewhere in the inside just to
irritate the recipient...;-) )

It's like you're doing research with these.

^Indeed :)

I would have made the colors more contrasting.
But that's just me.

If i did more "open" forms, I might have made something like this, but in clay. I love what the Lego fan community does. this is great stuff!

^Thanks man. Your complicated forms have been inspiring me the last few months. This is what I love about Flickr, the cross-polination of creativity.
