This portrait is not of three little girls but of one little boy posed with two little girls. Horatio (L), Tenneta (center), and Anna Grace (R).

The one on the far left appears to be a boy, not a girl. I have seen vintage photographs before, where little boys were dressed up in girl dresses. I don't know why moms did it. A friend of mine had a picture of her great grandfather, at the age of one or so, wearing a lacy frilly dress. Strange! But look at the short hair cut, and I'm sure you'll agree, its a boy.
