      Yes, it survived the conversion. The work was completed in the last few months. They are using the bakerman as the mascot or logo for the condominium.

      As of this time (mid February, 2007), they were only able to sell about a third of the units thanks to the softening market. The rest are up for rent.

      When we moved back to Richmond I noticed a ton of condos going up or being renovated in the downtown area. I thought to my self that they are going to flood the market.

      Yes! That's exactly what's happened. There are tons of new inner city condos, condo conversions, and apartments. Some nice, some less so. What the city and the market really need now is for the vacant lots in older residential areas to be built with single family homes (which match the architecture of the remaining homes). Manchester and Church Hill are ready and waiting.
