Chinese New Year 2006 |
On a chilly January day, the Chinese
Lunar New Year Parade in Chinatown,
Vancouver.
This has got to be the most multicultural Chinese New Year parade ever. Groups from all sorts of local societies turned up: Nisga'a drummers, Tai Chi masters, Bhangra dancers, Brazilian bootyshakers, Mongolian and fan dancers, and of course, plenty of lions and dragons. I love Vancouver.
