100+ Gurus

A gallery of genuinely enlightened beings starting circa 1850 after photography became more common.
This Set contains just one single photo (or in some cases hand-painted photo) of each guru (no repeats) on display here.
It amazes me that I have found more than 840 "gurus" with photos till now (I was expecting 100 - which explains the title 100 Gurus) and each is a unique gem, glowing with secret power.
Special mention must be made of the Tibetans who seem to have institutionalized the art of enlightenment in their society with telling results.
My personal favorites are the Sufis as god-intoxicated mystics uniting ecstatically with the Beloved with complete loss of separateness.
