Jawdropper, Lynn. Oh wow. Having grown up just a few minutes from here, I love seeing images from the Palouse. But so many of them are the same old comp, similar feel, etc. This one is unique in it's weight toward the sky. My favorite part of the image is the layer of blue hills...this atmospheric perspective gives the entire image more depth and complements the sky so nicely. Terrific capture.

Thanks Jeff......I am still going through my images from those 4 days! I "wish" it were sharper...but the more i looked at it..I thought that the "feel" of the photo far outweighed the imperfections...& you know what I have been looking through some photo sights & their contest winners & those shots are "not" PERFECT...:-) well some of them..& they won...best photo...Anyway..Thanks so much! & Happy Monday!

Where in the world is Lynn? Oh wait a minute, that's already been done! But I looked at this and thought you had gone to a desert - and you had! Just that it is still in WA. Never been to the Palouse - been in eastern OR - maybe similar, but don't recall it being this picturesque. Beautiful colors and texture. And just where did you hide those imperfections . . . .?
