Now this is really cool Lynn! Besides, we all needed something from you cool off from all that technical stuff yesterday. A lot of that was way over my head. :) I really love this comp and viewpoint. It's great how the water is really coming at you here. I'm glad we managed not to get in each others shots this time around. The colors are really nice too. You really have a winner here Miss Bokeh.

♡Lynn♡ (27 months ago | reply)
:-) Thanks Darren..coming from you...lol
Greg__ I had or have a similar one that the water is coming more at me..but after looking at it I think the comp is better on the main on because of the rocks on the side..I'll post a small version of the other..in the comments here in a moment..the other one seems like you are IN the water were this one is a bit higher & the rocks lead your eyes up & to the waterfall? I don't know..that is just how I seen it.
Here it is

Nothing short of spectacular, Lynn--the motion & power you're capturing in these falls shots is like being there, but without the need for wading boots. :)

silky smooth...definitely get the sense of motion. great landscape. hope you didn't freeze too much!

Thanks Lance! I seem to like to get Looooow with my shots..I have to keep reminding myself that my tripods legs do extend...lol
Steve___ No wading boots..I know it's just another thing to carry so we trudge in & our feet get wet & whatever else..Thanks All...:_)

you have lots of friends there Lynn.........."low places" (lost on many, but not country music fans)
Sadly, the first thing that popped into my mind was "dropping the camera"....now how pathetic is that when there's all of this beauty to consider and revel in?
I did exactly as you said. I started looking at it, and ever so slowly I ended up at the top of the falls! masterful job!
♡Lynn♡ (27 months ago | reply)
Dewey___ I do love country music also...:-) So I get what your saying..
You know dropping the camera or slipping on the wet rocks & the camera going under water is always an issue..I have been putting it back in my now muddy packback to navigate the waters & than getting the cam back out & putting it on my tripod

What an enchanting capture Lynn. It looks like something out of a story book. The moss carpeted stones and ground, beautiful soft light, earthy tones and superb motion of the falls and river...
Looks like a great place to go and rejuvenate! :)

Wow! wet feet time!! I assume the water was as cold as it looks too - true professionalism on your part! Great shot - like the extra mossy rocks in the top one..

What a gorgeous shot Lynn. What is really funny (to me at least) is that this is where I started earlier today ~ looking at this shot and about to add a comment ~ but when I read about the Red Hot Emergency ~ I just had to go see... Now an hour or two later I decide to check out my friends photos ~ and here I am again ~ so this time I'll try not to lose my focus and .. ... ....
WHAT SAY YOU (27 months ago | reply)
Lynn the frame and the low angle gives a rush that at a high angle would not giving the impack of this shot. the moss on the side give the lead in to the focus of the falls . nicely done Lynn. check site for water
infi9ite (27 months ago | reply)
love the perspective and the "in the water feeling"..... also agree that I like the posted one, with the mossy green framing the photo... nice shot! (we also have a bridal veil falls up here in BC :)
mamaroo10 ~~Have a nice day!!! ;-)) (27 months ago | reply)
Great dreamy silky falls, looks like you were in the water for this shot!!! I love all the rocks and green moss!!!
keartona (27 months ago | reply)
No problems with colour gradients in this kind of shot :D
Be careful.... waterfall photography can be as addictive as flower photography LOL!
Though I agree the composition is better in your main shot I prefer the lighting in the other. The image has more 'punch'.
martina★linnea (27 months ago | reply)
love it, fantastic composition -
that flowing water representing motion against the green moss that just feels ancient, constant. wow
