Wow Lynn you really do these better than anyone on Flickr. I like the first for the background and the 2nd one for the beautiful colour that it is.

Masterful bokeh work, my dear! I like the color variations between the two!

  7. ♡Lynn♡ (29 months ago | reply)

Thanks guys!!! The difference is the sun & the light...The 2nd one was taken when there was no sun...nice colors etc..but when the sun came out & you have the wonderful glow of the light kissing the top of the spruce & creating the glow in the background!! YES!!! I say...that is why I shoot & these Gray cloudy days are "killing" me..I have a few things I want to try but I need some SUN!!!! lol...I know it will come out again..it always does..:-)

What up Lynn.....this is sooooo gorgeous! The dof is out of this world and the light is incredible! I challenged myself with trying to get a "water drop" shot and WOW...it's not an easy task to figure out where to focus. I thought it would be semi-easy...but no, I spend at least 30 min. on my kitchen counter cussing at this poor little red feather!!!!!!!! LOL..have a great day my friend! m-

    Amazing colors!
    Very good work, Linn!

  14. ♡Lynn♡ (29 months ago | reply)

Machel___ YOU What??? LOL!! that is great!! I am sure you must have got a good one...your a great photographer!! You made me laugh though reading that..you know..it is funny..depending on where you focus on the waterdrop..it will look different & for us that handheld & don't use a tripod..it is even more difficult..becuase you have to "hold your breath" & click...:-)

    Beautiful macro and bokeh!

Thank you Rick!! & thanks for the Gallery Ad...Soooo Sorry it's sooo HOT were you live...you know you could move from Paradise to someplace cooler...:-) hehehe!!

What...there are others who hand hold their cameras??! I get fussed at for doing that! I find a tripod ~slows~ me down because I want to take a bunch of images at different angles, etc. You just made my day! As for these lovelies....they're both stunning! I can't say it enough..it always the colors that does it for me!

  18. ♡Lynn♡ (29 months ago | reply)

Sonia!! Yes...I know it's frowned on by the "so called experts" I mean if your doing long exposures you NEED a tripod...:-) but I totally agree with you..many times I am laying on the ground at all kinds of odd angles that a tripod just CAN NOT do..lol!! Sometimes I can't either...hehehe!

It is a real beauty of an image Lynn.. The exposure is perfect.. :-)

    Have a fab Tuesday..

Your "sugar coated" branches and bokeh are amazing! I bet it is super cold in Oregon right now. We finally got some rain to help with the drought!

  21. ♡Lynn♡ (29 months ago | reply)

Pat___ Actually this was taken on Christmas Day...It is not really cold now..just damp & rainy...typical for this time of year...Can't wait until Feb...when there are more sun breaks...Glad you got some rain...if now..I'll send some your way...:-)

  25. Eric__ (29 months ago | reply)

Gosh, where to start !?!? I guess this shows our differing photog skills because I would have been happy (actually ecstatic!) had I caught the bottom one, yet for me, the top one steals the show. Simply another stunner - that about sums it up. Have a great day!

edited to remove the erroneous comment

  26. ♡Lynn♡ (29 months ago | reply)

Actually Eric..I did not really Push the blue..because of the sun..this shot was more blue...where as the cloudy one..is more green....but yes...the yellows are accentuated a bit...I always love to read your input...ALWAYS!!! Thanks my friend!!!

Eric___ you did not have to do that..there was no erroneous comment..I was just clarifying..:-) Please don't do that..:-)

You know, as much as I would love for the sun to be out it’s the cloudy days I seem to get my best shots. I hate having to deal with sunlight. The cloudy days seem to bring a better balance, at least for the majority of pictures I take (candid, street, architecture).

Did you change the hue in this or is that the natural color? Whatever the case may be, I really like the color and focus. Nice scene, Lynn.

  39. WHAT SAY YOU (29 months ago | reply)

No sun welcome to the club, On our property , we have six blue spruce one each for the birth of a grandchild. the tree can give interest colours according to season. Nice shot of the tips of the candle with background of warmth. Some thing interesting about this tree. Trimming to increase growth and fulness, cut the new candle in spring and the the cut creats a three some the following year. Tnx lynn.

:-) Thank you..Always nice to hear..but your fave button must be broken??? Lol!
.....Edited to say...I see you found your fave button..hehehe! just giving you a hard time...:-) Thank you...!!

Kurt__I would imagine that the cloudy weather would be better for you...but for me & my macros..I like the sun & about last year I decided to embrace the sun & not be afraid of it in photography & I must say I LOVE it..

This is the natural color..although I did enhance the yellow tones a little..I don't "change" color in my photo for the most part & if I do..I usually say...I do like bright colors so I always process my photo's but that is how I like them...:-)..I just enhance a bit what is already there...kinda like a women putting on make-up in a skillful way..:-)
