Daybed
We finally finished a daybed for the girls' playroom, using Ana White's plans from Knock of Wood. What would have cost $800 from Pottery Barn, cost about $150 and some sweat! Adrian did the building, I did the sanding, priming, painting, and finishing. I also sewed the pink, striped, and polka-dotted pillows. My first sewing project ever!

I'm actually excited the daybed "bedding" set I bought (on Overstock.com) came with a coordinating bed skirt.
I made this bed too and it isn't designed for a bedskirt, so I ripped all of the seams the other day and am excited to use the fabric for pillows! I'm hoping to make a bolster (the long round type) pillow and a few smaller square ones. :) :) :)

That's such a great idea, ferbit! I love bolsters. These pillows (two 'regular" and one "envelope") were my first sewing attempt! If I can do it, anyone can!
